What is Kundalini Yoga

DESCRIPTION: Kundalini Yoga was brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan in 1968. The teachings come from the Golden Chain of Royal Linkage, it is a raj (royal) yoga. The combination of Pranayam, Kriya, and meditation, all serve as a technology for generating inner heat and energy. Each Kriya is designed to raise conscious awareness and balance one’s physical, mental, and emotional state. Specifically, it promotes the body’s synchronization of biorhythms in your nervous, endocrine, and glandular systems. It strengthens your immune system, breaks addictions, and increases vitality. Through repeated practice, energy blocks are opened bringing heightened awareness.

The beauty of Kundalini Yoga is that in one Kriya you can immediately achieve a complete physical, mental and spiritual balance. It works so effectively and quickly because of its completeness, balance, and energy. Since any method that helps you achieve Universal Conciousness-from prayer to dance-must eventually raise your Kundalini to accomplish it, why not start with Kundalini Yoga directly?
